    The Project Management Consultant will support senior leaders in providing employees with the resources, tools and training needed to effectively manage their work. You will be part of Ketchum’s vision for transformative “no boundaries” client service. The role is new to Ketchum, presenting an exciting opportunity to be an agent for change.

    About the Job

    Working under the supervision of project management and resource management leaders, primary responsibilities will include:


    Project Management Support

    Serve in a support/coordination capacity on priority projects, to ensure an excellent client experience. For example, you may be involved in:

    • Coordinating meetings and trainings (e.g. logistics/facility bookings; developing agendas/curriculum; distributing summary notes)
    • Liaising with resource management specialists as needed, and communicating/enforcing staffing projections among employees
    • Serving as a subject matter expert on new project management tools/processes such as Screendragon, BMTs, accounting worksheets, etc.
    • Maintaining/updating status trackers (e.g. timelines, deliverables, etc.)
    • Maintaining/updating budget trackers (e.g. BMTs)
    • Maintaining/updating document storage repositories
    • Developing templates
    • Onboarding new team members


    Project Management Center of Excellence Development

    As Ketchum fleshes out its business management approaches, the organization will need to identify best practices, and communicate accordingly to agency stakeholders and employees over time. You may assist in the following, for example:

    • Arranging logistics and recording notes during internal meetings, to inform training development
    • Drafting step-by-step training materials and how-to documents, and liaising with designers
    • Working with learning and development (L&D) colleagues on training calendars and publishing materials to employee resource sites
    • Tracking training attendance
    • Vetting project management questions (e.g. sharing FAQs, directing employees to document repositories, clarifying POVs and best practices after trainings)
    • Compiling analytics to track project management training gaps and progress
    • Fostering a culture of accountability among employees, to ensure compliance with business management procedures


    • Bachelor’s degree; relevant courses or field of study preferably in Marketing, Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Engineering or related field
    • 3-5 years project/vendor management experience preferable; PMP and/or Six Signa certification valued but not required. Experience as a product manager may be an asset (e.g. cloud-based productivity tools/platforms)
    • Interest in project management platforms (e.g. Screendragon experience in particular is valued), and developing new processes to improve collaboration
    • Proven ability to manage complex project details, timelines, budgets and communication, while ensuring compliance among team members
    • Strong writing skills
    • Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to create partnerships and build connections that will drive business
    • Outstanding time management skills and ability to work independently
    • Knowledge of/Expertise or desire to learn any or all of the following:
      • Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
      • Project management tools/databases (e.g. Mindjet, Wrike, Clarizen, Screendragon, Asana
