Ketchum is looking for a star Managing Account Supervisor to work on large and growing accounts within our Financial & Professional Services team. You will have the opportunity to lead a team and drive creative communications programming in the U.S. as well as work with our network of global offices. We need someone who loves working with bold and creative clients and is a self-starter with strong writing and project management skills.

• Perform a wide range of duties including development of client programs, strategic planning, staff development and financial management. Serve as key liaison among client, account team and agency management
• Manage day-to-day account signature projects, keeping work on track and to high standards
• Act as primary contact to clients, continually fostering client-agency relationship to build trust, provide counsel and become a valuable resource to clients
• Work across agency specialists to lead and provide counsel on a range of initiatives, including influencer relations, earned media relations, paid media counsel, social media, analytics and media tracking
• Work across global Ketchum offices to support global initiatives in partnership with local teams
• Troubleshoot client’s problems as they arise; seek senior management input whenever appropriate
• Assist account team(s) in working effectively and in the best interest of client(s)
• Demonstrate proficiency in writing and editing materials including plans/programs, client press releases, byline articles, correspondence and reports
• Manage account financials including budget allocation and control, time sheets, client billing, supplier invoicing and purchase orders; ensure team billability and account profitability
• Work with account team(s) to build incremental business
• Demonstrate and develop presentation, negotiation and problem-solving skills; demonstrate ability to effectively develop client materials, including media materials, byline articles, speeches, client correspondence and reports
• Stay on top of trends in the industry; bring them to the attention of clients and associates, as appropriate

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skills and knowledge for successful performance would qualify. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

• Seven plus years of agency and/or in house public relations experience 
• Demonstrated track record in building client relationships and delivering programs that exceeded anticipated results
• Broad-based exposure to all skill areas, including proposal planning, writing and presentations, media relations, and consultative selling
