We’re looking for an experienced, business-minded, strategic General Counsel. Beyond the requisite leadership of control, compliance, and the legal affairs of the organization, the General Counsel will serve as trusted advisor to the Ketchum executive leadership team.

As the agency’s senior-most legal officer, the corporate counsel plays a primary role in safeguarding the company’s rights, assets, and public reputation; assessing, advising and managing legal and regulatory risk; assuring compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements and commitments, and adherence to relevant governance and reporting standards by defining standards and practices for business operations and overseeing compliance programs; and protecting and developing the Company’s reputation with regulatory and enforcement authorities.

As the senior legal advisor to the management team, the corporate counsel provides analysis, counsel and guidance on the implications and risks of strategic and operating plans and decisions. Matters will include drafting and negotiating a high volume of commercial contracts and providing responsible, timely, and top-quality client service. Advanced knowledge of trademark and copyright, advertising, privacy and data use issues will be beneficial in this role.
