Our ideal Project Manager candidate must have strong organizational and time management chops, possess good internal communications skills, but ultimately they must be a problem solver. He or she will build relationships, learn processes and work with other departments within our global agency. The candidate must be able to prioritize, manage multiple projects and actively communicate progress to teams. This person will define and monitor scopes, budgets, milestones, timelines, and deliverables. All with a great attitude and a “can-do” approach.

About the Job

Overview: Scope budgets and timelines, identify and activate resources, track and monitor budgets, ensure work is delivered on time and on budget

  • Work with internal teams to develop estimates, budgets and timelines for projects and SOWs
  • Monitor and track project progress, including producing and distributing status tracking reports and providing proactive recommendations to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget
  • Facilitate conversations when projects start to go off track with enough time to address issues to minimize missed deadlines, bloated scopes or blown budgets. Report and escalate issues to management as needed.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs and offer solutions when necessary
  • Identify and secure project resources, including third-party vendors, as needed
  • Serve as a liaison for internal resources (including creative, media, analytics, digital and client services) from planning through implementation for flawless execution of projects
  • Understand and apply knowledge of the business of the agency, its offerings/services and client industries
  • Identify learnings from projects to apply to future projects
  • Participate in special projects to identify and implement ways to improve Ketchum project management through process improvements, technology solutions, etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Minimum of three years of experience in project management. Advertising, PR or creative agency experience preferred.
  • Previous experience managing print, web and video projects
  • Advanced Excel required and proficiency in Microsoft Office required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to multi-task and balance priorities
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with staff, clients and vendors
  • Ability to work in a multi-faceted, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
