About the Job

  • Assist in fostering client-agency relationship to build trust and become a valuable resource to the client
  • Continually build understanding and knowledge of clients’ business and competitive environments; apply this information in preparing and presenting strategically focused programs and recommendations
  • Act as key project manager and contact to clients, continually fostering client-agency relationship to build trust and become a valuable resource to clients
  • Play a key role in account activities including special events, media relations, program implementation, etc.
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively develop a full range of written materials including press releases, byline articles, speeches, client correspondence and reports
  • Participate in the research, writing, and presentation of new business proposals
  • Take advantage of internal and external networking opportunities to enhance professional development and agency/office visibility
  • Develop an understanding of various research methods; coordinate internal and external resources in implementing research projects
  • Media monitoring, summarizing and analysis
  • Maintain ownership of billing procedures within the team (according to client) by managing account billing, invoices and job numbers
  • Provide strategic guidance to clients on an ongoing basis; anticipate and address clients’ needs
  • Troubleshoot clients problems as they arise; seek senior management input whenever appropriate
  • Ensure quality control on all external deliverables; attention to detail is a must


Any combination of education and experience providing the required skills and knowledge for successful performance would qualify. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Marketing or a related field
  • Two to four years of experience in public relations or a similar position in a non-agency setting (food space preferred)
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to grasp complex business related subject matter of clients’ business
  • Familiar with social media platform and how to use it to drive brand awareness, engagement, and traffic to a website/social media pages, plus hands-on experience generating awareness through social media and online communities in relation to broader media mix
  • Ability to actively participate in the development of social media plans
  • Growing aptitude to translate trends, technologies and metrics into conversational English
