We are in search of Fall Interns to support the various Ketchum practices in our Washington D.C. office.  The intern will work hand in hand with our Public & Corporate Affairs, Brand, and Social Marketing practices, as well as Business Development, to learn the business, serve clients, and develop PR skills. They will assist with project research, writing and media relations efforts to support client programs.

About the Job

This is a full-time opportunity, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.

  • Develop and maintain media lists
  • Monitor and track media and write media updates
  • Prepare pitch letters and pitch media
  • Assist in the development of press materials including fact sheets and backgrounders
  • Attend client and team meetings
  • Write client and/or team memos
  • Assist with research for new business opportunities and client presentations
  • Assist with event coordination
  • Participate in brainstorms
  • Participate in internal meetings and agency events


  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and strong presentation skills
  • Strong understanding of social media and robust intellectual curiosity
  • Enthusiasm, flexibility and a willingness to go above and beyond
  • Strong organizational skills including the ability and willingness to work on a variety of projects
  • Previous internships in PR a plus but not required
  • Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
