Our ideal Media Planner Buyer candidate must have strong organizational and time management chops, possess good internal communications skills, but ultimately they must be a problem solver. He or she will build relationships, learn processes and work with other departments within our global agency. The candidate must be able to prioritize, manage multiple projects and actively communicate progress to teams. This person will define and monitor scopes, budgets, timelines, and deliverables. All with a great attitude and a “can-do” approach.

About the Job

  • Meet with clients to understand campaign objectives, ideal target audience and overall business goals
  • Research and analyze target audience media usage and demographics and come up with appropriate timing based on consumption patterns and campaign objectives.
  • Planning, negotiation and execution of media plans.
  • Oversee ongoing monitoring and maintenance of media plan performance to ensure original objectives and strategies are being met.
  • Independently handle any/all client requests – ie: media plan changes, budget changes, etc.
  • Evaluation of media opportunities and providing written POV’s.
  • Compilation of necessary ad specifications and deadlines.
  • Vendor management: communicate and meet with media sales reps and industry representatives on a regular basis.
  • Stay on top of industry trends, emerging technology, etc.


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Agency experience is a plus
  • 2-3 years of media planning, buying and reporting experience
  • Knowledge of all aspects of digital media is a plus (programmatic and paid search)
  • Strong understanding of research tools (Kantar Media, ComScore, Nielsen)
  • Knowledge of media buying software, preferably Strata
