We are looking for an exceptionally bright, motivated Corporate Communications Intern to join our team. This role will work collaboratively with colleagues in the department on a variety of special projects and initiatives. The individual will report in to the VP, Corporate Communications.

 

Our ideal candidate will be a current student in the NYC area who is interested in having an ongoing part-time internship throughout the academic year.

About the Job

Support media team:

  • Handle daily monitoring report to send to agency’s global leadership
  • Compile results reports for major announcements
  • Maintain executive visibility trackers
  • Conduct media audits to support media strategy development
  • Develop and maintain media lists
  • Draft pitches and press release for agency news

Support internal comms team:

  • Contribute content and research for daily internal news postings
  • Develop content weekly for office welcome boards

Support general corporate communications work in areas such as:

  • Marketing vehicles such as the agency’s quarterly online magazine and webinars
  • Contribute to merger and acquisition activities
  • Edit team materials based on input provided by senior team members
  • Assist with research for story development and new programming
  • Conduct intranet and website audits to maintain consistency
  • Contribute social media content for corporate social channels 

Qualifications

  • Candidates enrolled in a Master’s or Undergraduate degree program in Communications
  • If currently enrolled in a graduate program, at least one semester must be completed 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Takes a creative approach
  • Relevant prior job experience/internship in an organization or as a consultant
  • Proactive, flexible, willing to jump in where needed and able to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Strong professional demeanor as this role requires working with senior level executives
  • High ethical standards
  • Additional language desirable
