Ketchum’s Media team is looking for an Associate Media Specialist. In this role, you will assist the Ketchum Media Team, while you hone your skills and become an experienced specialist. Working with GMN team members, you will develop media lists, craft engaging pitches and learn how to present feedback in a client-ready format.

About the Job

We’re looking for strategic and creative counselors who can recommend tactics and then execute media plans.


Daily responsibilities include but are not be limited to the following:

 

  • Supporting the overall media efforts for a number of Ketchum’s client across all practice areas.
  • Building target media lists and pitching bloggers and online journalists
  • Liaising with account teams and GMN colleagues to provide project updates in a timely manner
  • Participate in creative brainstorms
  • Staff media events and tours
  • Work with account teams to develop editorial calendars based on news cycle and client news

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will:

 

  • Have 2-5 years of experience in a related field, not exclusive to Public Relations, Advertising or Marketing
  • Show a strong working knowledge of established and emerging web tools/platforms and how people use them
  • Read voraciously, share content and learnings
