About the Job

The Account Coordinator must also show strong internal relationship-building skills and an understanding of and ability to work effectively within internal work processes and with other departments within the agency. This individual must be able to prioritize work, manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and actively communicate progress and deliverables to account teams.

  • Deliver high-quality verbal content and exhibit strong writing skills
  • Work on 2-4 clients and manage 3-6 projects within the scope of larger client relationships
  • Respond to requests from team and clients with accuracy and in an efficient and timely manner
  • Prioritize work, meet deadlines and actively communicate progress and deliverables to team members
  • Demonstrate familiarity or proficiency with social media and online communities in relation to broader media mix
  • Conduct client and new business research
  • Assist with and coordinate tasks, projects, monitoring and task execution (includes, but is not limited to, client meeting setup: scheduling, meeting room setup, catering and travel)
  • Coordinate activities between departments, including creative, media (social and paid), analytics and digital
  • Draft SOWs and proposals and working with Project Managers on estimates, budgets and timelines
  • Proofread and edit documents
  • Maintain the organization of client records and files
  • Develop media lists, pitch media, conduct media monitoring and develop reports
  • Assist with the planning and coordination of client events and meetings
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn about the agency’s teams, and on the (assigned/chosen) team become a subject matter expert on client and business needs and goals
  • Show integrity, confidentiality and good judgment when working with clients

Qualifications

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skills and knowledge for successful performance would qualify. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

  • 1- 2 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, English, marketing or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Detailed-oriented focus with ability to work in multifaceted, fast-paced environment
  • Previous internship experience in an agency or similar position
