Qualified candidates possess one year of previous work and/or multiple internships with direct public relations experience and demonstrate polished communication (writing and verbal) skills a must. Successful candidates also demonstrate social media know-how and a developed sense of the news media landscape. Strong candidates are fearless about media pitching, and boast a strong interest in the PR industry.
The Account Coordinator is an organizational guru who acts as the day-to-day point person for multiple client project accounts. The role requires a strong degree of multitasking, a sharp focus for details, and an ability to find the humor in developing status reports, combing through the monthly financials/invoicing, and promptly responding to client/team/media requests. Account Coordinators must have a passion for our industry and mastering the basics of PR and a “can-do” attitude: media pitching; social media; research; event coordination; program development; writing; client presentations; and assisting in new business development.
