Ketchum has an exciting opportunity for a Client Finance Analyst. This role is unique in that it will be embedded on two large NY based client account teams. This person will plan an important role in supporting these accounts by helping to meet their financial and operational goals, providing financial support on all matters related to Client Finance. You will add value by handling reporting, preparing and processing of invoices and entries, utilizing appropriate spreadsheet calculations, filing documents and supporting various ad hoc assignments.  


About the Job


  • Create SOWs (scope of work documents) and liaise with client to garner signatures and appropriate purchase order
  • Collection and Allocation of Invoices
  • Maintain monthly budget status report
  • Creation of Monthly Telephone, Duplication and Printer Journal Entries
  • Creation of Entries related to Monthly Subscription Invoices
  • Preparing Monthly Income Contribution Calculation
  • Communicate with vendors regarding payment status
  • Develop weekly budget snapshots
  • Work with Ketchum finance team to create job open forms
  • Team time tracking
  • Quarterly reconciliations of budgets, invoices and client accounting
  • Focus on service by completing assigned responsibilities accurately and on a timely basis, providing timely follow-up and answering questions for assigned areas. This may involve unique situations where each assignment must be handled differently, using judgment and discretion
  • Develop and maintain strong, reliable working relationships 
  • Interpret requests and help implement action
  • Perform timely analysis and review critical financial information
  • Assist with key processes for Accounts
  • Ensure assigned processes are running efficiently and effectively; alert managers when issues arise
  • Assist with certain job opening responsibilities, including scanning and filing
  • Create various spreadsheets requested by supervisors
  • Respond to Ad hoc Employee and Vendor Requests
  • Perform research requiring third-party telephone calls, reviewing files and online searches
  • Attend and participate in weekly team meetings and periodic levels and agency gatherings
  • Meet regularly with Supervisors to discuss status updates, progress reports and career development
  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with Clients and employees at all levels within Ketchum.


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent combined with two to four years in a financial reporting role, experience in public relations or related field preferre
  • Finance experience in an agency or professional services firm a plus.
  • Advanced Excel required and proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
  • Experience and strong skills with PeopleSoft, COGNOS and Citrix a big plus.
  • Working knowledge of business, finance and accounting fundamentals including U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes Oxley.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
