Our NY office is seeking a Contract HR person to join our high performing HR team for a three plus month assignment.  This position will responsible for the core HR areas including employee onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, employment law compliance, employee relations and talent attraction. The right candidate must be highly adaptable, motivated, a natural relationship builder and ready and willing to roll up their sleeves and get the job done. This is a position for a self-motivated, strategic thinker, who understands organization development and efficiency, and is a stickler for details.

About the Job

  • Effectively assess current cultures and competitive landscape and determine how to creatively design and implement talent programs that deliver impactful results, are tailored for the culture, and are compliant with company policies and procedures.
  • Partner with senior clients on all things talent related in order to drive the business through building strong relationships and providing value-add services, programs and counsel.
  • In collaboration with the Talent Acquisition team develop and execute recruitment strategies to identify current and pipeline talent needs.
  • Monitor Performance Management Program compliance to help identify competency, knowledge, and talent gaps; develop specific recommendations and coach managers to fill gaps.
  • Coordinate with centralized training function to offer relevant ongoing training and development programs; supplement centralized curriculum with local programs.
  • Provide coaching and counseling to employees in areas such as management development, conflict resolution and career development.
  • Critically analyze current talent programs and, partnering with the Partner/HR Director for North America, design, develop and implement changes to drive continuous improvement.
  • Execute the day-to-day responsibilities of the HR function, including salary and new hire administration, reporting and tracking. Drive continuous improvement in all processes and systems.
  • Work closely with all levels of employees to build relationships, provide coaching and counsel and drive the business strategy. Comfort interacting with senior management a must.
  • Connect and build relationships with other talent professionals across the agency network to ensure alignment and use of best practices.


  • 6 plus years of increasing responsibility in the HR space
  • Previous agency experience in market, advertising, Digital or PR space a BIG plus
  • Knowledge and understanding of HR strategy and cutting edge programs
  • Proven track record in successfully implementing HR programs
  • Proven project management skills and project leadership capabilities
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, influencing, problem solving, mediation and decision making skills
  • Experience working in a complex, matrixed environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s required, Master’s preferred
