    Ketchum is looking for a Senior Account Executive to work a flagship account in the category of men’s grooming. Our ideal candidate would have strong account management experience, the ability to build and drive a strategic program from conception to conclusion, knowledge of the influencer marketing landscape, creative writing skills and a finger on the pulse of current pop-culture and lifestyle trends.

    About the Job

    • Build understanding and knowledge of the clients’ business and their challenging and rapidly shifting competitive environments
    • Maintain regular contact with clients and media; proactively offer and implement new ways to meet client needs
    • Actively participate/contribute to the development of account plans/ideas. Provide appropriate instruction to junior staff on projects
    • Participate in program presentations to clients or new business presentations
    • Demonstrate ability to effectively develop full range of written materials including beautifully designed presentations, compelling press releases, concise fact sheets and actionable pitch letters
    • Support needs of the agency as part of its role in an Integrated Agency Team (IAT) setting and have a solid understanding of 360 marketing
    • Initiate implementation of media events, press conferences/briefings, media tours, desk-sides, etc.
    • Under the strategic direction of senior management, act as a primary implementer of account plans
    • Verify information to assure accuracy of media materials and contacts
    • Facilitate teamwork by managing and involving junior staff members whenever possible

    Qualifications

    Any combination of education and experience providing the required skills would qualify. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

     

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English or a related field
    • 3-5 years of experience in a public relations agency setting with proven results in account management and media relations. Experience in the areas of CPG or on male-oriented brands a major bonus.
    • Basic knowledge using social media platforms, driving brand awareness, engagement, and traffic to a website/social media pages in relation to broader media mix
    • Familiarity with social listening, trendspotting and identification of influencers and culture-bearers
    • Ability to establish track record in actively participating in the development of social plan plans and their execution
    • Ability to translate trends, technology and metrics into conversational English
    • Hands-on team player adding value, and executing programs
    • Ability to monitor social media for clients/familiarity with tracking resources
    • Understanding of pitching media/ researching reporters using social media
