    Ketchum is seeking a leader to run our NA CPG industry.

    About the Job

    • Serve as the leading internal and external ‘face’ of the CPG industry group for North America
    • Work with client teams across the network to build a profitable, growing, industry-leading and award-winning business
    • Visibly and actively engender an entrepreneurial, sales-driven culture, focused on generating growth opportunities from clients and prospects, and providing unique growth and development opportunities for current and future Ketchum talent
    • Responsible for oversight of industry group business, including staff deployment and utilization, staff coaching and nurturing, revenue generation, expense control, income projections and activities related to executing the annual business plan and to meeting profit and growth objectives
    • Develop and contribute to thought leadership and content and product development to drive incremental and new business opportunities
    • Provide senior client counsel for current and prospective clients; lead client relationship for accounts as assigned
    • Generate visibility for Ketchum in the marketplace to reach key prospects, influencers, and top talent
    • In-depth knowledge of our own industry, our clients’ industries and within specialism, along with future trends affecting these areas
    • Stay current with new developments in the industry and innovative executions relevant to clients’ business, and to develop agency POVs that inspire actionable strategies
    • Provide visionary leadership and drive the strategy of the industry group. Demonstrate an ability to partner with and lead senior-level talent
    • Grow and retain talent through timely, effective, and consistent use of performance management, succession planning, coaching, and other talent management tools. Identify and drive participation in training, development, and career growth opportunities for team members and self. Contribute to training and career development programs designed to deepen the expertise of team members, particularly helping to develop the next generation of leaders
    • Attract, grow, engage and retain talent. Contribute to creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture, where every employee feels a sense of belonging

    Qualifications

    • Proven senior leader and innovator with at least 15 years integrated marketing/communications expertise, and a collaborative, charismatic and inspiring leadership style
    • Proven thought leader and innovator within sector of expertise
    • Client-side experience a plus
    • Entrepreneurial mindset, a passion for new business and a proven track-record in generating, leading and converting opportunities
    • Action-oriented and a proven track-record in translating innovative ideas into actionable programs
    • Strong awareness of PR, marketing and business, economic, political and social trends
    • Digital capability and success operating successfully in a disrupted retail environment 
    • Ability to travel to various offices for new business pitches, client meetings and other requirements of the role
