  • Overview

    Our SF office is looking for an Account Supervisor to work on a diverse portfolio of clients that span work that focuses on reputation management, thought leadership, executive positioning, as well as issues and crisis team. This is an exciting opportunity to help our clients build issues-management programs, as well as crisis preparedness plans and infrastructures.

    About the Job

    • A passion for jumping head first into high-profile challenges that threaten clients’ reputations and clients’ ability to conduct their day-to-day business
    • Possess strong writing skills and the ability to examine issues from a critical mindset
    • Excel under quick turnaround deadlines and high media profile/digital trending situations
    • Provide counsel and rapid response communications support to day-to-day clients and the agency’s other clients that may need ad hoc support when they experience reputation challenges
    • Play a key role in the development of issues & crisis planning protocols and materials, including: strategic action plans, core message documents, standby statements, FAQs, issues analyses, position papers, client correspondence, and reports
    • Identify growth areas within agency’s existing clients, across Reputation/Corporate, Food, Brand, Tech and other industries for response preparedness opportunities
    • Ensure senior counselors are prepared and engaged appropriately in ongoing assignments
    • Foster client-agency relationship to build trust and become a valuable resource to our clients
    • Provide appropriate instruction to junior staff on projects and facilitate teamwork
    • Cultivate and monitor program plans and budgets for profitability; report status to client and agency management on a regular basis


    • Five to seven years PR Agency, corporate, legal or related experience working in a crisis communications environment
    • Excellent writing skills and strong presentation capabilities
    • Understanding of basic business systems and decision making
    • Understanding of the ways the media cover key social, economic, political issues, and crisis situations
    • Analytical thinker (ability to analyze issues and identify strategic insights that could be used to help clients meet their objectives)
    • Prior experience with litigation communications, interaction with regulatory agencies, international policy/trade experience, and/or political/legislative experience not required but is a definite plus
    • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
