    Ketchum’s NY office is looking for a Senior Account Executive to work an exciting account in our consumer-packaged goods space. Our ideal candidate would have strong account management experience, the ability to build and drive a strategic program from conception to conclusion, knowledge of the influencer marketing landscape, creative writing skills and a finger on the pulse of current pop-culture and consumer trends. Experience in toys…yes, toys is a big plus.

    About the Job

    • Build understanding and knowledge of the clients’ business and their challenging and rapidly shifting competitive environments; communicate directly with client
    • Actively participate/contribute to the development and presentation of account plans/ideas
    • Demonstrate ability to effectively develop full range of written materials including beautifully designed presentations, compelling press releases, concise fact sheets and actionable pitch notes
    • Have an understanding of 360 marketing to present holistic integrated plans
    • Lead and execute account plans, media events, media tours, desk-sides, etc.
    • Drive media interest and awareness of existing and new products
    • Facilitate teamwork by managing and involving junior staff members
    • Draft and negotiate talent and entertainment contracts coordinating with team members, talent representation and Ketchum legal
    • Create and manage project budgets inclusive of facilitation of talent payments
    • Significant experience and comfort-level with negotiating business points in PR and Advertising contracts


    Any combination of education and experience providing the required skills would qualify. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Three plus years of experience in a public relations agency setting with proven results in account management and media relations. 
    • Basic knowledge using social media platforms, driving brand awareness, engagement, and traffic to a website/social media pages in relation to broader media mix
    • Familiarity with social listening, trendspotting and identification of influencers and culture-bearers
    • Ability to establish track record in actively participating in the development of client plans and execution
    • Hands-on team player adding value, and executing programs
    • Ability to monitor for clients/familiarity with tracking resources IND13 #LI-ML1
