    Ketchum is currently looking for a VP, Influencer Strategy in our NY office!

    About the Job

    The VP will be responsible for developing innovative influencer marketing campaigns with digital influencers, as well as overseeing and activating influencer campaigns and paid media and distribution strategies alongside account teams.

     

    You will be expected to have a track record in planning and delivering campaigns with creators and influencers across paid, earned and shared media. You will need an agency background with a thorough understanding of how to design and execute successful measureable influencer campaigns, as well as a deep knowledge of how digital/social media fits in the communications mix.

     

    You will be responsible for managing, identifying and nurturing new client relationships at the highest level, and ensuring that the team is implementing programs to the highest standard possible. You will need to be able to give client counsel and advise different clients on the best influencer strategy based on metrics and a sound business case for their particular brand.

     

    The desired candidate must be passionate, driven and emotionally intelligent. Experience working across a wide variety of brand sectors is highly desirable.

     

    Client Service and Satisfaction:

    • Plan and deliver influencer campaigns including paid amplification strategy across all main platforms
    • Identify, negotiate and manage influencers and talent across multiple channels
    • Facilitate development of strategic influencer-related activities for our clients
      • Be able to educate and take clients when they have little experience of working with influencers
      • This includes running introduction to influencer engagement training sessions and workshops
    • Understand the path to purchase through influencer campaign, and techniques to track and assess performance
    • Provide creative content solutions for client campaigns (taking them from concept through to delivery)
    • Keep abreast of emerging partners, innovations, talent, platforms and tools and provide recommendations
    • Update relevant directors/team members on outcomes – minimum monthly basis
    • Work collaboratively with teams both in our home market and overseas
    • Present confidently and with authority to external audiences in order to educate, engage and entice – winning trust and business
    • Promote the value and importance of client feedback and review with team and develop a client-focused culture
    • Manage post campaign evaluation, highlighting strengths and identifying opportunities to improve future campaigns
    • Clearly understand ROI and measurement tools surrounding influencers (both to identify and evaluate)
    • Maintain an understanding of our client’s business and sector to improve counsel to client
    • Monitor and understand clients’ markets and brands; be aware of market issues and competitive activity

    Teamwork and Team Leadership:

    • Lead team briefings to share information to keep teams informed and engaged. Use team meetings as an opportunity to share knowledge
    • Support the team in delivering the brief by driving the quality and direction of the team on day to day basis. Provide insight into the strategic direction of the campaign or event
    • Plan and prioritise work with team to ensure completion according to client requirements and deadlines
    • Maintain regular communication with junior and senior team members ensuring the team operates in most effective and efficient way to meet client needs
    • Maintain involvement in team/management/group initiatives
    • Regularly engage in dialogue with colleagues to ensure an accurate view and understanding of their workload, priorities, deadlines and aspirations. Delegate projects and activities to stretch performance and capability
    • Conduct interviews for prospective candidates; using the recruitment process to enhance the reputation of Ketchum

    Business Development:

    • Lead Thought Leadership for the agency externally and internally on Influencer Relations, proactively updating clients on the state of the art best practice Influencer Relations ,
    • Proactively identify and drive opportunities to grow and expand our Influencer Relations work
    • Identify and manage strong pipeline of new clients
    • Lead and participate in new business pitches with energy and passion and encourage the same of team
    • Provide input and lead the development of pitch documents
    • Proactively contribute to the development and updating of case studies and other credentials materials
    • Encourage colleagues to contribute to and participate in new business activity including research, brainstorms, making client contact and presenting, as appropriate

    Administration and Reporting:

    • Prepare and deliver reconciliation reports and status reports
    • Ensure team complete all administration and reporting internally and in line with client requirements
    • Demonstrate and maintain up-to-date knowledge and capability in all main software packages including Microsoft Office
    • Manage teams and business in compliance with all legal, financial, HR and other company policies and procedures

    Commercial and Financial Management:

    • Create and manage program budgets
    • Negotiate and finalize with the client or account team on any budget adjustments and explore opportunities for additional projects
    • Provide accurate forecasts on accounts to ensure accurate future planning
    • Contribute to year end and campaign reconciliations IND13

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years’ experience specifically leading influencer programming across multiple channels, within a media buying, advertising, communications, marketing, or public relations environment
    • Demonstrate knowledge and a passion for the influencer universe on all social channels
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Accuracy and attention to detail
    • Strong technical background with advanced computer skills
    • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, as well as independently
    • Aptitude to develop and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
    • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and handle a number of concurrent projects and tasks

    Technical Experience:

    • Experience using influencer identification tools
    • Evidence of network with Influencer Marketing industry
    • Expertise of measurement frameworks within influencer programming to demonstrate ROI 
    • Knowledge of web usability best practices, hashtags, how channels support SEO and how to maximise content to support search
    • Understanding of enterprise level analytics and management tools
