    Ketchum Analytics is looking for a VP, Research to work out of our New York office.

    About the Job

    We are looking for a strategic, experienced senior level leader, responsible for managing client relationships, contributing to regional business development goals and overseeing client projects.  This position provides research, analytic and insights counsel to clients and account teams to enhance business performance via the agency’s research offerings. 

     

    Client Management Responsibilities: 

    • Lead key client relationships
    • Cultivate trusted relationships with current clients, including ongoing dialogue regarding evolving business needs
    • Oversee client satisfaction initiatives to help ensure quality of service
    • Co-manage the resolution of client concerns along with account leads, where appropriate
    • Achieve of financial goals

    Business Development:

    • Develop relationships with prospective clients and scope potential opportunities
    • Manage the development of new business proposals and lead pitch efforts
    • Drive relationship building and networking across the office and global agency to unleash synergies and uncover business opportunities

    Thought Leadership and Visibility:

    • Facilitate Agency knowledge and awareness of products/services
    • Drive thought leadership and Agency POV through participation in external events (panels, speeches, etc.), bylines, articles, etc.
    • Co-manage external communication and marketing strategy development along with the Leadership Team
    • Provide senior counsel and direction to research, analytics and insights approaches as a member of the Leadership Team
    • Bring a value-added approach to all issues and projects; stay on top of news and trends in the industry; bring them to the attention of team, clients and associates

    Talent/Staffing Responsibilities:

    • Manage assigned team’s billability, utilization, and monthly income against targets
    • Drive strong employee performance and support career development
    • Partner with HR to recruit and develop top talent

    Communication Responsibilities: 

    • Co-manage all internal communication within the business unit and project teams along with the Leadership Team
    • Liaise with peers and leaders to ensure information and resources flow properly throughout the network IND13

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 10-12 years of experience in qualitative and quantitative research
    • Proven success leading a research team in an agency environment (Advertising, PR, Marketing Comms)
    • Strong client relationship skills and ability to forge strong relationships, internally and externally, at all levels
    • Proven talent management capability
    • Ability to manage budgets, staff utilization, and other financial metrics
    • Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal)
