    The Leave Administrator position will be responsible for the administration of the full life cycle of all Leaves of Absence, which includes but is not limited to: FMLA, state leaves, unpaid personal leaves and Short Term Disability across all of offices in North America. #LI-ML1  IND13

    About the Job

    • Administer all aspects of the leave of absence program to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
    • Determines employee eligibility for leave and designates appropriate leave status.
    • Requests and obtains completed certification and recertification forms.
    • Provides required notices designating leave as FMLA, notifying employees of the status of group benefit coverage, their other rights and obligations, and requirements for return to work.
    • Coordinates communication between employees and managers during the leave.
    • Serve as primary point of contact for clients and respond to all inquiries.
    • Coordinates the return-to-work process for FMLA leaves of absence.
    • Receives requests for other types of disability-related leave, including leave requested as a reasonable accommodation under the ADA and leave arising out of a work-related injury or illness. Ensures all applicable leave laws are considered and applied, and coordinates with paid time off and other leave and insurance programs. Communicates with employees and managers regarding leave designation and status.
    • Maintains databases and performs other tasks to ensure the accuracy of FMLA and personal leave records and files.
    • Ensures confidentiality of employee medical and leave records.
    • Maintains up-to-date working knowledge of relevant laws, including FMLA, ADA, workers’ compensation, USERRA, PDA, HIPAA  and other privacy laws. Identifies and attends professional development programs as appropriate.
    • Reviews and recommends revisions to company leave policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.


    • Five years of experience in human resources program administration with demonstrated experience dealing with confidential information, complex record-keeping and file management, and counseling employees.
    • Minimum two years of experience administering FMLA and other leave programs in a multi-state environment.
    • Experience with managing maternity leaves is California, New York and D.C. ideal
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
    • Working knowledge of FMLA and other statutory leave requirements, HIPAA, as well as issues related to leave under the ADA and workers’ compensation laws.
    • Acts with confidence and achieves results.
    • Exposure to other benefits administartion a plus. 
      Demonstrated ability to produce results and maintain positive attitude in fast paced, dynamic environment
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, or the equivalent in related work experience, demonstrating a thorough understanding of leave of absence and worker’s compensation policy and procedures.
