    Our Toronto office is currently looking for an Account Director to join our growing team. Someone with strong experience working across multiple industry areas, serving clients across the full spectrum of brand and corporate communications, from brand and corporate reputation, B2B, influencer relations, social and digital, thought leadership and strategic planning.

    About the Job

    • Act as primary senior contact to clients, continually fostering client-agency relationship to build trust and become a valuable resource to clients
    • Provide strategic counsel to clients on an ongoing basis; anticipate and address clients’ needs
    • Troubleshoot clients problems as they arise; seek senior management input whenever appropriate
    • Motivate and inspire team members to work collaborative to deliver our best possible work
    • Strategic planning, including within an integrated agency setting   
    • Manage account financials including budget management, billability and profitability
    • Work with account team(s) to build incremental business
    • Participate in new business programming and presentations

     

    Qualifications

    Any combination of education and experience providing the required skills and knowledge for successful performance would qualify. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

    • Minimum of ten years of agency and/or marcoms experience, ideally with working with large accounts
    • Demonstrated track record in building strong client relationships as a trusted counselor and delivering programs that over-deliver
    • Proven track record in growing business
    • Direct experience in building and managing teams in a leadership role
    • Broad-based exposure to all skill areas, including strategy planning, writing and presentations, media/ influencer relations, and consultative selling
